After being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 11 during a sudden ER visit, Oren was invited by his healthcare provider to join a clinical trial just a day later. With his parents’ support, Oren decided to participate. Over the years, he has taken part in six clinical trials.

My parents were united in the opinion that it was a good opportunity because it could help make the process of learning how to manage the diabetes easier, and they would be there to support me as well.
-Oren
Throughout each study, he received personalized care and felt reassured by the emphasis on his safety and privacy. Today, Oren is proud to know his participation has contributed to advancements in diabetes treatments, which he now uses in his daily life. Oren encourages others to thoroughly research clinical trials and consider participating as a meaningful way to help improve healthcare.
